How do you collect data?
TL;DR;Shopify Web Pixels APIemits logs when a reserved event occurs. StoreKPI subscribes these events and stores into database (DB). Here is step by step flow how we collect these events:
  1. Shop owner install the StoreKPI Pixel app
  2. StoreKPI serves as a Web Pixel application that subscribe the Shopify Web Pixels analytics events
  3. Filters the input of the event by dropping any PII attribute on the Shopify store
  4. Submits the processed input in a format that our servers understand
  5. Stores the records to DB that assigned to your store
How do you determine event count?
We increment the event count by one per Shopify Web Pixel event that hits to our servers. We reset the counter at the beginning of every month in UTC.
How do you ensure PII columns are not reaching out to your service?
We are not allowing any custom attributes for the events going to our servers and filtering out any PII column before submitting to request our servers.
Where do you store the data?
When you install the StoreKPI pixel application we are giving you an option to choose your datacenter location to store your Shopify store"s data. We are currently supporting EU and US datacenters to keep your store"s data. By default, we are storing your data in EU datacenter.
What kind of support do you offer?
We offer comprehensive support through multiple channels, including email and Zoom for enterprise customers. We also provide dedicated account manager for Enterpise/Agency plan.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, you can uninstall the application from the Shopify admin panel at any time to cancel your subscription. Once you uninstall the application, you will not be charged for the next billing cycle and all of your data will be deleted.
How is it different than Google Analytics?
We are offering easy to use privacy-focused analytics app for Shopify stores. It is optimized for the best experience for Shopify store owners.
Google Analytics is complicated and it is hard to use. To get the same `Web Analytics` and `Sales analytics` that StoreKPI offers with Google Analytics, you will need to emit events manually in the format that Google Analytics support. Then you will need export your data to LookerStudio or another dashboard builder to build dashboards.
